A Room in the Park

Holkham, North Norfolk

Situated within the walls of Holkham Park on the North Norfolk coast, The Room In The Park offers a truly special holiday hideaway in a unique location.

Stay in North Norfolk

Johanna and Christopher Tennant have converted an 18th Century barn in the garden of their home, East Lodge – a former game keepers dwelling – set within the 4,000 acres of parkland surrounding Holkham Hall, into a unique “guest room” in perhaps, the best location along the north Norfolk Coast.

A Room In The Park is accessed down a tree lined track just off the A149 coast road, within easy walking distance of Wells-next-the-Sea and its bustling Quay and High Street. Approximately 1 1/2 miles from Wells Beach, 1 mile from Holkham Beach and Holkham National Nature Reserve and 10 minute walk through the Park to Holkham Hall.

Its location provides easy access to the renowned Norfolk Coastal path and the Coast Hopper bus stops at Wells and Holkham Village are a short walk from the barn. This regular bus service takes you along the coast between Hunstanton and Cromer stopping in picturesque, coastal villages such as Stiffkey, Blakeney, Morston and Cley to the east and Burnham Overy Staithe, Brancaster, Thornham and Holme-next-the-Sea to the west.

A Room in the Park is blessed to be located on the glorious Norfolk Coast where visitors are spoiled for choice when it comes to things to do and see, whatever your interests.
